I just had a delicious bagel, watched the first episode of Supernatural season three (which was kind of lame but whatever), and saw the new Cobra Cam episode. RYLAND AND SUAREZ AND NATE OMG ♥ I know everyone is saying this but it's 100x better than TAI TV, and I'm not just saying that because I'm anti-Beckett now, but because with Cobra Cam it's an actual team effort. Everyone had equal screen time, with maybe the exception being Victoria but only because she's not as good with these types of things and she probably did the bulk of the editing. I'm glad they're only doing them for a set period of time, it will keep the quality up.

It's 9:15 so I'm off to black and white photography

My grandma was fine, it seemed more like the caretaker overreacting then anything else. They did tests and then had to redo them and couldn't find anything. It's such a relief :)

In less important news Avatar: The Last Airbender is quite possibly one of the greatest things I have ever had the pleasure to watch. I just finished Book Two (40 episodes down, 21 to go) and I can say with complete confidence that is the best television show on television in the last five years (which is my cheap way of saying it's my second favorite show with one being Buffy and three being Lost). Usually when I'm catching up with episodes of a tv show I go through it quickly just because that's how I end up doing things, once I start something I have a hard time focusing on anything else until I finish. I went through two seasons of 30 Rock and the 16 episodes of this season in record time for this reason. But with Avatar it's something different, I look forward to getting my new disc to watch the new episodes more than anything else going on in my life right now. I've upgraded my Netflix account to get two discs at once so I don't have to wait, I've ripped all of video from the discs I've gotten so I can rewatch them in my downtime, and I just NEED to see the rest.

Just the way I watch Avatar is something different too, I find myself yelling at the television/laptop screen when something bad happens, cheering when something good does, I've cried once and almost cried on three other occasions, and I really am so blown away by how GOOD this show is. Every single character is amazingly developed and I love each one so much, the only regular character I hate is the one I'm meant to hate. Which I don't think I can say about any other show I've ever watching. On Lost and Buffy there are always main characters I find myself annoyed by (KATE >:|, DAWN >:|) but with Avatar I love everyone so much I don't even know how they do it. I keep trying to rank everyone but it's so difficult, I'll see an episode and get a newfound appreciation for another character. Right now I'd have to say Sokka, Toph, and Zuko are at the top of my list but I may swap out Zuko with Katara right now, I have to decide.

ANYWAY I should get my new disc tomorrow, then another the day after, I'll return them both together so I can get the last two discs of the series at once. And when I'm done I can finally enter the Avatar fandom without fear of being spoiled. You'll be noticing a big shift in my icons from bandom to Avatar in the next few days.

PS: Adam Lambert's performance of 'Mad World' on American Idol last night pretty much blew me away. Download it here

blah
This week has just been one of those weeks for me. [info]marsupialpirate is working some really awful shifts this week, it's literally I get home from school and she's leaving for work, which just sucks because I really want to talk to her. And [info]ladykronik I miss you so much, tell me when you're free to have a very long phone conversation and I'll switch stuff around on my end so we can catch up.

Things that have happened so far this week:
- Started reading Angels in America for school and it's really depressing me
+ Got Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book for when I finish Angels in America
+/- Was mistaken for a librarian (?!?!)
+/- Have completely lost interest in American Idol
- Still haven't registered for summer classes or my fall semester
- Missed two days of school and probably a math quiz
- Kim is quitting the deli which is understandable but I'm going to miss her :(
+ Started working deli so I might be getting a raise (maybe)
- Probably won't be able to afford going to both days of Bamboozle now, it's between Cobra and Forgive Durden vs. The Sounds
- Speaking of Cobra, I've basically realized I'm not really in bandom anymore. I skip songs when they come on my shuffle, I don't read fics, and I barely keep up with the communities...

Oh well, I hope everyone has a fun April Fool's Day and no one plays any really mean pranks on you

I want to lick your mind!
Just finished watching season one of 30 Rock and I can officially say I'm in love. Tina Fey is, predictably, awesome but I knew that going in, I was impressed what a strong ensemble it was. Jack, Kenneth, Tracy, and Jenah are just as funny and lovable as Liz, but Liz is just the amazing, adorable, hilarious glue that holds it all together. I'm going to start season two next week.

Also finishing Book One of Avatar: The Last Airbender basically as soon as I get the mail and watch the two episodes. Avatar has already proven itself to be one of the best shows I've ever seen, I am shocked at how well done every single character is, and how perfectly each episode is fitting into the larger story. I'm thinking of upgrading my Netflix account just so I can have two Avatar discs at once because the waiting in between is killing me.

And since this is a big old television post here are my thoughts on last night's Lost:
